A consultant psychotherapist from Ireland with over 25 years of clinical experience.
Private Practice (Dublin, Ireland):
In my Dublin-based private practice, I have treated a range of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, addiction, and bipolar disorders. The focus here is on delivering individualized and effective treatments tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Founder and Director – The Behavioral Training Institute:
In this role, we deliver online courses globally in a range of psychological principles such as CBT and Positive Psychology. Our courses are accredited by the CPD Certification Service in London.
Founder – Kildare Street Clinic:
Founding the Kildare Street Clinic with Ireland’s foremost Eating Disorder Psychiatrist Dr. Anne Leader is a significant milestone. This clinic specifically addresses the complex challenges faced by individuals dealing with eating disorders. Our approach is rooted in a commitment to a comprehensive and collaborative model of care.
Addiction Services:
I worked for many years as a senior manager at Merchants Quay Ireland, involved in the full spectrum of harm reduction treatment within addiction services. This included needle exchange programs, methadone treatment, and managing a residential facility for heroin users. I managed and provided clinical supervision to a multidisciplinary team of 20 psychologists, addiction counselors, and social workers. Our mission was to contribute significantly to the recovery and well-being of individuals struggling with addiction.
Trauma Therapy:
Specializing in CBT and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, I have played a pivotal role in providing support to organizations and individuals exposed to traumatic work environments. This includes assisting bank staff traumatized by violent robberies, supporting workers coping with sudden deaths, and helping cash-in-transit staff threatened at gunpoint. Additionally, I have offered crucial debriefing support to NGO staff after traumatic deployments in war-torn countries.
